for African Americans and other underserved populations. |

To develop an information center for the collection and
dissemination of research findings and information to improve the health
status of African Americans and other underserved populations.

To promote access of HBCUs to major research activities.

To establish partnerships among
HBCUs, faith-based institutions, community based health organizations,
health care institutions, health associations, majority institutions, state
and federal agencies, and other parties interested in improving the health
status of African Americans and other underserved populations.

To seek funding opportunities for all HBCU member institutions.

To increase the capacity of HBCUs to develop quality health
services research. |
